Magnified

Photography  -   2017

Using the technique called focus stacking, I combined multiple bracketed exposures taken at different focus distances to give a final image with a greater depth of field than any individual source image. I used a variety of insects on a black background with studio lighting. The insects I used are from both my backyard and on loan from the High Park Nature Center.

(Warning - if you're not a fan of bugs, skip this one :) )
